BatteryDB user manual

Welcome to the documentation for BatteryDB.

BatteryDB is an application which stores all the data from EIS tests run using your ReJoule device. BatteryDB provides a user-friendly way of collecting data, managing battery inventory, extracting key metrics, and generating test reports.

This guide intends to describe the full process of getting access to BatteryDB, testing your first batteries, and viewing the results.

Getting access to BatteryDB

  • Navigate to BatteryDB.

  • If this is your first time, you will be redirected to the Log In page.

    • If you do not have an account, click Sign up to create a new account.

    • You can also log in using a social account.

Creating a new battery in BatteryDB

Create the battery type for your battery

  • Navigate to the Battery Types tab in the sidebar menu.

  • Press the + New button to create a new battery type.

  • Fill out the form with the relevant information for your batteries.

    • The Model field is the identifier for your battery type.

    • The Classification field is a choice betwen cell, module, and pack.

    • All other fields are optional.

Create your battery

  • Navigate to the Batteries tab in the sidebar menu.
  • Press the + New button to create a new battery.
  • Fill out the form with the relevant information for your battery.

    • The Battery ID field is the identifier for your battery.

    • The Battery Type field will allow you to select from all created battery types.

      Warning

      If you have not yet created a battery type this list will be empty. Please see previous section for creating a battery type.

    • All other fields are optional.

Running your first EIS test

Note

To run an EIS Test you must first have a configured EIS measurement device and have added at least one battery to BatteryDB.

  • Navigate to the EIS Tests tab in the sidebar menu.

  • Press the + New button to create a new test.

  • Fill out the form with the relevant information for your battery.

    • The Battery field will allow you to select from all created batteries for this test.

    • The Device field will allow you to select from all available EIS devices to perform this test.

    • All other fields are optional.

  • You will be automatically redirected to the test details page upon creation of the test.

Viewing your EIS test

  • Navigate to the details page of your test.

    • You will be automatically redirected here after creating a new test.

    • You can find this page for specific tests by navigating to the EIS Tests tab in the sidebar menu, and selecting the test you would like from the list.

  • You will see the status of your test, various test details, and the Nyquist plot from the test if available.
