LED indicators

When turning on your device, there are a few different possible states it can be in. For example, when you first press the power button on the front panel, the device will be starting up, and may take up to 60 seconds to start all of its internal processes. During this start-up state, the STATUS LED will blink. Once the device is completely started up, that STATUS LED will be continuously lit.

At this point, if the FAULT LED is blinking as well, that means there was some issue connecting the device to BatteryDB. This could be due to either:

  1. A lack of internet connection; or

  2. A bad or missing device API key.

Below is a figure summarizing the different possible states the device could be in when starting up. When everything is working correctly, the device’s LEDs should look like the 3rd one listed.
